Red delicious apples are no longer the most widely grown variety in Washington state
Kim Malcolm talks with Tim Klovis about why the Red Delicious apple is no longer the most widely grown apple variety in Washington state. Klovis is communications manager for the Washington State Tree Fruit Association.
State growers forecast the 2018 apple crop to be:
- 24% Gala
- 21.5% Red Delicious
- 13.5% Fuji
- 13% Granny Smith
