  • Relationship Officer

    KUOW is seeking a Relationship Officer responsible for engaging with people who donate $1000+ annually to KUOW. The primary duty of this role is to authentically connect with and steward a portfolio of KUOW donors and listeners, increasing their loyalty, satisfaction, annual giving, and upgrading.   • Campaign Strategy Manager

    KUOW has an exciting opportunity for a Campaign Strategy Manager to develop multi-channel holistic fundraising campaigns across the organization – finding better ways to engage existing and new donors and making KUOW an organization more donors love. The ideal candidate for this position is an excellent strategist, writer and communicator who can wear many hats to strategize and collaborate with diverse teams and is highly comfortable with digital fundraising and marketing tools. This position will lead fundraising projects with various teams and develop fundraising content for a wide variety of campaigns including: on-air, digital,, social media, email fundraising, KUOW email newsletters, some marketing campaigns and major donor appeals, and much, much more.   • Director of Finance and Administration

    KUOW has an excellent opportunity for a Director of Finance and Administration to join our team. This critical role will oversee all financial activities and functions, working closely with the President/GM and reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 7-10 years of experience in nonprofit administration and financial management, as well as strong management and supervisory skills and a commitment to diversity and racial equity. This position leads a team of professionals to ensure KUOW operates efficiently and effectively, supporting our mission to create and serve a more informed public in the region.   • Chief Marketing Officer

    The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) will provide leadership and vision for all revenue-generating activities, aligning and amplifying audience experience with KUOW’s brand promise, that a better future begins with an informed public. Reporting to the President & General Manager, Caryn Mathes, the CMO’s role is to enhance KUOW’s reputation in the community, ignite brand obsession among core and new audiences, grow and engage an increasingly diverse audience, and influence a heightened value proposition among KUOW listeners to create a climate conducive to philanthropy. The CMO leads a team of 32 professionals and directly oversees four Directors. The ideal candidate will bring at least five to seven years of senior-level marketing experience and significant expertise guiding strategy and leading teams. Experience with public media, a variety of revenue streams common to nonprofit sector, digital marketing, and/or accomplishments in B2B and B2C marketing would be an advantage. Demonstrated experience in supporting every component of an integrated marketing program, leaning into digital marketing will be valuable.   • Chief Content Officer

    The Chief Content Officer (CCO) will provide leadership and vision for all programming, podcasting, and journalism at KUOW. Reporting to the President & General Manager, Caryn Mathes, the CCO’s role is to enhance design and integrity of content, expand offerings and their impact, and provide overall editorial leadership, to increase consumption of and loyalty to KUOW content. As the highest-ranking content creation officer, the CCO leads a team of 62 professionals, and directly oversees four Directors, designing standards and procedures to hold accountable high-quality content-making and content delivery talent. They will collaborate with the Digital division in pursuit of optimal discoverability of KUOW’s content and a high-quality digital user experience. Also, they will serve as KUOW’s representative in collective bargaining (SAG-AFTRA), assisting UW Labor Relations. The ideal candidate will bring at least five to seven years of senior-level journalism experience in a modern media environment and significant expertise guiding strategy and leading large teams. Experience with public media, digital content and programming, navigating a hybrid university/community radio licensee and union environment, and the opportunities and challenges of issues facing a disrupted and dis-intermediated media environment would be an advantage.
