It’s the third week of the Derek Chauvin trial and just days ago Daunte Wright was killed by police in Minnesota.



For some people, the images and details of these incidents are difficult, but they are necessary, because they shed light on police conduct.

KUOW reporter Ashley Hiruko spoke with Marquita Jackson, who was thrown to the ground 20 years ago by a Federal Way police officer. Jackson told Ashley about how this event continues to affect her in her own life and as a parent.
