Men, by Alex Garland

This is Garland’s third film, after "Ex Machina" and "Annihilation." It stars Jessie Buckley, who some may remember from "The Lost Daughter," for which she received an Academy Award nomination. She plays Harper, who leaves London for the English countryside to get away from the loss of her husband. She starts meeting some interesting people who seemed pleasant enough at first. They become increasingly unpleasant.

David Cronenberg's Crimes of the Future

This is also kind of on the creepy side, but I see it as a love story. It’s his foray back into body horror. He’s kind of the leading figure associated with that genre. It centers on two performance artists who are also partners, played by Viggo Mortensen and Léa Seydoux. It has to do with technology and the body in some ways he hasn't explored before.

Watcher, by Chloe Okuno

This is Okuno’s directorial debut. She's working with Maika Monroe, who people might remember from "It Follows." She plays a young married woman who moves to Romania with her husband. He's just gotten a job there. He speaks the language. She doesn't. It deals with her isolation and looks at their marriage in a way that isn't obvious.
