That last one is unlikely in Seattle, but the masks we wear can say a lot about our anxieties, identities, and fashion sense. So says R. Eric Thomas, senior staff writer at Elle.com and author of the memoir Here For It.
The great potato surfeit
There are too many potatoes, which is a dilemma that needs to be solved fast. The Washington State Potato Commission is giving away 200,000 pounds of them at the Tacoma Dome, but it’s only a drop in the bucket of our spud problem.
