Earlier today, a decision about social justice and the right to free speech came down from on high. Not from the Supreme Court, or from the White House. It came from the desk of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell. This upcoming season, players will be required to stand for the national anthem. 

They can stay in the locker room, but if they choose to kneel their teams will face a fine. This has brought the league's stance on the protestfor black lives into sharp relief. Michael-Shawn Dugar, Seahawks reporter for The Athletic, came in to break down what it means for the team and for the league.

After much threatening language by Republicans, the Dodd-Frank act has been repealed. One Washington state Democrat, Rick Larsen, broke with his party and voted for the rollback. He called in to tell us why.

Do you remember the Mars Hill Church? Charismatic, idiosyncratic, it connected with a younger generation and had an unconventional figure at its head.
