In a time where society questions everything and fake news accusations spread nationwide like wildfire, conspiracy theories are becoming increasingly popular. How can you tell what is fact and what's just pure speculation?

RadioActive's Acacia Niyogi, Zack Gates and Selam Demile report on the psychology behind this phenomenon, as well as a couple of theories of their own.

This podcast was created in KUOW's RadioActive Intro to Journalism Workshop for 15-18 year olds at Jack Straw Cultural Center, with production support from Zuheera Ali. Edited by Lila Kitaeff.
