Seattle reacts to proposed rollback of trans protections

The Trump Administration is considering eliminating the legal recognition of trans people.

The proposed change would restrict the definition of a person's sex to either male or female. It would eradicate federal recognition and Title IX protections of an estimated 1.4 million transgender Americans.

KUOW's Kim Malcolm spoke with Jessi Murray, co-chair of Seattle's LGBTQ Commission, about the potential impact.
