Lockdowns have their toll on kids

Valentine's Day marks the one-year anniversary of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida. And school safety is high on the legislative agenda in Washington state this year. There are bills for more police officers and mental health staff in schools, and to help schools better prepare for emergencies.

Buses, garbage returning to normal

King County Metro plans to serve 90 percent of its routes, but warns there could be delays today.

Officials are watching the roads and for more power outages. Seattle will keep plowing arterials and a limited number of side streets.

Garbage and recycling has started back up in areas that are easily accessible for trucks.

People who don't want to wait for a pick up can take waste to a city dump for free through Saturday.

Getting everyone inside from the cold has mixed results

Seattle's Navigation Team has stepped up its efforts over the last week. The team helped 24 people travel to shelter Monday night and transported 67 people to shelters on Sunday. But some didn't want to go into shelters despite the terrible cold and snow.
