Why aren't more editorial boards and columnists calling on Trump to step aside?

The day after the disastrous presidential debate, the New York Times editorial board and several of its well-known columnists called on President Biden to step out of the race.

Editorial boards at the Chicago Tribune, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post and others also called on Biden to end his campaign. The Philadelphia Inquirer took a different perspective and instead called on Trump to serve his country by leaving the race.
