Students belong in the classroom this fall, pediatricians say

But the experience would be nearly unrecognizable.

Last month, the American Association of Pediatrics released a statement that strongly advocates that all policy considerations for the coming school year should start with a goal of having students physically present in a school building.

But what would that experience be like, and is it safe as the pandemic rages on?

To answer those questions and others, Marcie Sillman was joined by Dr. Peter Asante, chair of pediatrics at Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital in Yakima.
