Stacey Abrams has an outsider’s view of government. Hear how she’s working her way in
In 2018, Stacey Abrams made historic gains in her run for governor of Georgia. She was the first black, female, major party nominee for governor in the history of the United States.
Though she ultimately lost that contested election, Abrams hasn’t given up the fight. She says she is committed to efforts to strengthen democracy, confront voter suppression and fight poverty. She also says she’s committed to running for president someday.
Town Hall Seattle presented Stacey Abrams in this conversation about her book “Lead from the Outside: How to Build Your Future and Make Real Change.” The event took place at Seattle’s Temple de Hirsch Sinai on April 25. KUOW’s Jennie Cecil Moore recorded her talk.
