Today on The Record: Whitman College is thinking of getting rid of its mascot, the missionaries. The college tells KUOW the move was prompted by "conversations about diversity and inclusion."

Also, hear the story of a lawyer who gave U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia a ride from Spokane to Seattle in 1994.

And since it's Tuesday, super librarian Nancy Pearl gives her recommendation for a reading pick on a gray February day.
