PHOTOS: Cherry trees in full bloom on UW's campus

It's that time of year again. Large crowds gathered on Monday to photograph the blossoming cherry trees at the quad on the University of Washington campus in Seattle.

The trees, which are Yoshino cherry trees, were expected to reach full bloom over the weekend.

People gathered for picnics and selfies in the sun as they took in the blossoming trees. The sun is expected to stick around until Wednesday this week. According to the National Weather Service, rain is likely at the end of the week.
