Friday, November 8
Pacific Northwest Ballet opens “Locally Sourced,” three new works by three local choreographers: Spectrum Dance Company artistic director Donald Byrd; Eva Stone, director of the Stone Dance Collective, and PNB corps de ballet dancers Miles Pertl. Marcie will moderate a conversation with all three artists after the Saturday November 9 matinees. Find a ticket discount here.
Issaquah’s Village Theatre presents a new production of the Broadway classic “Guys and Dolls.” This non-holiday confection runs through the holidays in Issaquah before moving to Everett on January 3rd.
The Chief Seattle Club sponsors an exhibition of photographs by longtime employee Lloyd Dalton. He began this body of work in 2004, during a period when he was experiencing homelessness. The show will be on display at Impact Hub Seattle.
Saturday, November 9
Artist Maria Phillips returns to the Bellevue Arts Museum with a solo show called “Hidden in Plain Sight.” Phillips creates art out of materials the rest of us discard or recycle.
SecondStage Repertory Theater presents “Frost-Nixon,” a play literally taken from the headlines. Disgraced president Richard Nixon wants to redeem his reputation; television chat show host David Frost wants to build his and invites Nixon to participate in a series of in-depth interviews.
