The Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) heads into its third weekend with two major events. KUOW's Arts and Culture reporter Marcie Sillman has some SIFF advice, plus a few other weekend recommendations.

ATURDAY June 1 SIFF presents the Seattle premiere of Mindy Kaling's "Late Night," featuring Emma Thompson as an aging late night television host and Kaling as the writer who helps her re-invent her show. Gala and screening 5:30 at the SIFF Egyptian.

UNDAY June 2 SIFF presents a tribute to actress Regina Hall. Hall has been acting for two decades; most recently she co-starred in "Girls Trip" and "The Hate U Give." SIFF will host a Q&A with the actress after a screening of "Support the Girls." 2 p.m. at SIFF Egyptian.

UNDAY June 1 SIFF presents The Footballest," a Spanish comedy, part of SIFF's Film for Families series. Ages 8+, 1 pm at the Kirkland Performance Center.

ATURDAY and Sunday June 1-2 Tacoma's Museum of Glass hosts Japanese artist Nao Yamamoto working in the hot shop. Visitors can also see Preston Singletary's ongoing installation "Raven and the Box of Daylight," with video by Juniper Shuey.

SATURDAY June 1 Bellingham's Railway Museum offers an opportunity to learn more about regional train history. The Museum is open for nominal fee Tuesday-Saturday.
