KUOW and The Seattle Time's collaborative podcast 'Lost Patients' nominated for Peabody Award

KUOW is excited to announce that Lost Patients has been nominated for a prestigious Peabody Award. The Peabody Awards celebrate excellence in storytelling across the mediums of television, audio, and digital media.
Lost Patients, a collaborative effort of KUOW and The Seattle Times, is a deeply-reported, six-part docuseries examining Washington state’s maze-like system for treating serious mental illness. The podcast premiered in March 2024 and quickly resonated with audiences through its timely and empathetic approach to a critical issue affecting communities across America.
The 68 Peabody nominees selected this year (from a pool of 1,100 submissions) range from entertainment to local journalism, highlighting the power of art and storytelling in helping us understand the world today.
KUOW is proud to be included amongst several other public media organizations including New York Public Radio, Oregon Public Broadcasting, Nashville Public Radio, American Public Media, and NPR.
