KUOW wins two National Murrow Awards

Seattle, WA — KUOW Puget Sound Public Radio has won two 2024 National Murrow Awards. Winners were announced late last week.

The RTDNA Edward R. Murrow Awards are "among the most prestigious in broadcast and digital news." Since 1971, the Radio Television Digital News Association has honored news organizations whose work demonstrates the "spirit of excellence that Murrow set as a standard for the profession of broadcast and digital journalism." The Murrow Awards recognize and celebrate the "local and national news stories that uphold the RTDNA Code of Ethics, demonstrate technical expertise and exemplify the importance and impact of journalism as a service to the community." Regional awards are presented based on 14 geographic regions, and Regional winners are then automatically considered for a National award.
