KUOW and partners honored by Society of Professional Journalists

The KUOW news team and our colleagues at Northwest News Network took home multiple awards this Saturday in Seattle at the 2016 Society of Professional Journalists Award Gala, winning in radio categories that included News Reporting, Investigative Reporting, News Series, Special Report, Sports Reporting and Spot News Reporting.
Special honors go to KUOW producer Kate O’Connell for winning New Journalist of the Year Award, and to Tri-Cities correspondent Anna King, who was named Journalist of the Year in recognition of her reporting and her mentoring of aspiring journalists.
