As a third woman comes forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against Brett Kavanaugh, Heritage Foundation legal fellow Elizabeth Slattery explains why #IStandWithBrett.

Speaking through her lawyer, Julie Swetnick claimed that, in the early 1980s, Kavanaugh tried to get girls inebriated at parties so they could be "gang raped".

She claims she was gang raped herself at one of those parties, and that Kavanaugh was present.

The White House released a statement from Kavanaugh describing the allegations as “ridiculous and from the Twilight Zone”. He denied having met Swetnick, saying “I don’t know who this is and this never happened.”

Kavanaugh is expected to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee tomorrow, along with his original accuser, Dr Christine Blasey Ford.

But despite the mounting allegations, Elizabeth Slattery, a legal fellow at The Heritage Foundation, explained why she still believes Brett Kavanaugh.

A third woman has now come forward to accuse Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of more serious sexual misconduct. Kavanaugh calls the accusations “something out of the Twilight Zone,” and some women agree. Elizabeth Slattery is a legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation, and has come out in support of the nominee.
