Geek Culture has a long history of feeling like a “boys club,” but the folks at GeekGirlCon are out to upend that dynamic.

Since 2011, GeekGirlCon has pursued a mission of inclusivity and representation in the nerdy realms of science, technology, arts, literature, and games.

Soundside Producer Jason Burrows attended the convention this weekend. He talked with attendees about what makes GeekGirlCon different and why geek culture needs it.
