'Explosion' of rape cases documented in Democratic Republic of Congo

A pair of new reports from Physicians for Human Rights document an “explosion” of rape cases in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. After three decades of war, the question is what’s behind this and what can be done. The situation is even more urgent given a serious outbreak of mpox in the same region, which is sexually transmitted.
