Everett Police investigating Wednesday morning shooting near high school

Everett Police are investigating a shooting that happened Wednesday morning half a block away from Everett High School.
Officer Aaron Snell, a police department spokesperson: "I want to stress that this is not school related, this just happened to be in the same area. We obviously are taking this quite seriously and are working with the school district to make sure that students are safe."
Snell said there are no safety concerns for students.
Officers are searching for an adult female.
The shooting happened sometime before 6:45 on the 2300 block of Colby Avenue.
Police said the male victim has non-life threatening injuries and has been taken to Providence Regional Medical Center in Everett.
