Baltimore Ravens' Mark Andrews is thriving with Type 1 biabetes

Baltimore Ravens’ Mark Andrews is among the best tight ends in the NFL. When the 28-year-old charges toward the end zone with a ball in his hand, he appears to be in perfect shape for one of the most physically demanding sports.

However, Andrews has had to overcome one big obstacle on his way to the top and has turned it into a way to motivate himself. At the age of 9, Andrews found out he had Type 1 diabetes.
