Sure, it’s a little cold. But you get the idea. In its best form, reporting exists to get and present the facts.
But what about an era where political campaigns flood the zone with falsehoods, so that by the time you debunk one lie, 10 more are out the door and on the internet?
What about a campaign where politicians aren’t shamed by lying, but boast about how effective it can be? Who’s tasked with fighting back with the truth?
