A blood test for colon cancer offers hope fighting a deadly disease
Colon cancer is the second-deadliest form of cancer in the U.S.
Among men under 50, it’s the number one cause of cancer deaths.
And today, we’re talking about a new blood test that could save lives. Researchers at Seattle’s Fred Hutch Cancer Center have co-authored a new study for a blood test that can accurately detect colon cancer.
Dr. Rachel Issaka is the director of the Colon Cancer Screening program at Fred Hutch and UW Medicine, and she talks about the test and what it could mean.
