KUOW adding 'Throughline' and 'The Splendid Table' to weekend schedule
September 16, 2021
KUOW will debut a new weekend schedule beginning Saturday, October 2, with several changes including a new time for It's Been A Minute and the addition of NPR's Throughline and APM's The Splendid Table. KUOW will say goodbye to Ask Me Another and Says You!, which both have stopped producing new episodes.
SCHEDULE CHANGES
It's Been a Minute with Sam Sanders is moving from Saturdays at 3 p.m. to Sundays at noon. In each episode, host Sam Sanders engages in lively conversations about news, culture and everything in between.
NPR's Throughline will take over It's Been A Minute's old slot, airing Saturdays at 3 p.m. Throughline is a popular history podcast which launched in 2019. In each episode, hosts Rund Abdelfatah and Ramtin Arablouei explore stories and perspectives we don't often see in the history books, helping us all deepen our understanding of the world we live in.
Finally, APM's The Splendid Table, hosted by Francis Lam, will air Saturdays at 6 p.m. For more than two decades, this program has brought listeners conversations about food culture, eating and cooking. We're excited to welcome it back to KUOW's airwaves.
