The Fremont Troll is having its Saturn return

On Halloween in 1990, the Fremont troll was installed under the Aurora bridge. And there it has stayed for the past 30 years, disturbing no one – except, it turns out, Crosscut Editor-at-Large Knute Berger. Owing to a childhood fear instilled by Norwegian folktales, Knute offered some insight into the creepier side of trolls.
