U.S. Steel CEO pushes back against opposition to Nippon purchase
The Wall Street Journal reports that the CEO of U.S. Steel David Burritt is pushing back after Vice President Kamala Harris said she opposes the sale of U.S. Steel to the Japanese company Nippon Steel. Burritt told the Wall Street Journal that if that sale doesn’t happen, the company would have to close steel mills and probably move its headquarters out of Pittsburgh.
