Over 1,000 people were estimated to be in attendance on Saturday afternoon for a "March For Our Rights" pro-gun rally on the steps of the Washington state capitol.

A line-up of speakers included Joey Gibson, the founder of the Patriot Prayer group.

"We have an empire above us that wants to brainwash you, that wants to consistently steal from you, steal from your family, take from your community," Gibson said. "They will brainwash our youth to go out to march to give up their own God-given rights. It is out of control."

Rachel Nesse of Olympia was the only counter-protester at the rally.

She stood off to the side holding a sign that read "No More Guns."

"It's really, really important to me," Nesse said. "It's my responsibility to come and speak up for the people that can't do that."
