Mudslides block I-90, complicate transportation

Update: 2/16, 9:34 a.m..

I-90 westbound in Issaquah is back open.

Original post:

A mudslide blocked all the westbound lanes of I-90 near Issaquah Thursday morning, just east of Sunset Way. WSDOT says traffic is being rerouted onto Preston Way, SR 202 to get around the problem, but expect significant delays.

The Washington State Patrol reports nobody was injured in the mudslide.

Besides I-90, mudslides are affecting other transit corridors. Sound Transit canceled Sounder commuter train service Thursday and Friday between Everett and Seattle because of a slide. Sound Transit is operating buses as an alternative. There's also a mudslide that's closed the bus lane on Westbound Highway 522 at 61st Avenue Northeast in Kenmore.
