Hillary and Chelsea Clinton share stories of ‘Gutsy Women’
The Clintons were back in Seattle recently. This time it was Hillary and daughter Chelsea on tour with their co-authored collection, “The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience.”
If you’re looking for political intrigue, you’ll get a pointed quip or two, but the point of this event was to honor often neglected and untaught stories of remarkable women. About the collection they say:
“If history shows one thing, it’s that the world needs gutsy women. So in the moments when the long haul seems awfully long, we hope you will draw strength from these stories. We do.”
The Elliott Bay Book Company and Seattle University hosted this conversation with former First Lady, Senator and Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Chelsea Clinton on October 18 at SU’s Campion Ballroom. The event was moderated by Washington State Book Award-winning novelist Laurie Frankel. Seattle Storm star Sue Bird joined them in conversation.
