Vicky VanHout

As the Traffic Coordinator, Vicky works with teams across the station to direct and schedule messaging and improve operations.

A backseat NPR baby, Vicky has worked in radio traffic for over a decade — she first cracked a mic at Central Michigan University's student-run WMHW while obtaining her degree in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts, and has been in the industry ever since. After moving to her dream city of Seattle in 2017, she worked on the traffic team at Hubbard Broadcasting (Movin' 92.5, Warm 106.9, 98.9 The Bull) before landing at KUOW in 2021.

Outside of KUOW, Vicky is found playing board games with friends, listening to D&D podcasts, and attending every pop-up market, community theatre show, and specialty parade that her beloved, eclectic chosen home has to offer.
