    RadioActive honored with five national awards in 2022

    KUOW's RadioActive Youth Media is where youth discover public radio journalism, gain access to skills and resources to help them grow as media makers, and share their voice. This year, four stories produced by young people in the program were recognized with five national awards.

    Meet KUOW's summer 2022 RadioActive youth producers

    KUOW's RadioActive Youth Media is proud to offer our 19th annual summer introductory workshop for teens. In our first hybrid in-person and virtual workshop, seventeen teens, aged 15-18, spent one week learning about radio journalism and audio storytelling.

    KUOW's RadioActive Youth Media is proud to offer our Advanced Radio Journalism Workshop. Twelve graduates of our Intro to Radio Journalism Workshop are spending the spring with KUOW, and gaining advanced communications, audio production, and journalism skills.
