Seattle weighs controversial tool to detect gun violence

It’s only March, but there have already been at least 9 fatal shootings this year in Seattle. That number will certainly grow. Gun violence has become more and more common in the past few years, and while everyone agrees that’s a problem, the solutions are harder to settle on.

One controversial solution that has Mayor Bruce Harrell's support is acoustic gunshot location systems, like ShotSpotter.

Today we’ll talk with Marcus Harrison Green about this technology and the possible downsides of implementing it in Seattle.
