Why you should go see 'Young Blood' at the Frye (Hint: Beyonce)
Jeannie Yandel speaks with Jen Graves, visual arts writer for The Stranger, about the Frye Art Museum's current exhibition "Young Blood."
The show features the art of two local brothers, Kahlil Joseph and Noah Davis, who made big names for themselves in film and painting, respectively.
Kahlil Joseph is "an artist in film" who most recently directed Beyoncé's visual album, "Lemonade."
Noah Davis, who died of cancer last year at age 32, was included among Jean-Michel Basquiat and Kara Walker in "30 Americans," a showcase gathering works by influential African-American artists.
Graves says "Young Blood" is electric and the best exhibition she's seen in Seattle in a long time.
