Seattle Police believe the body parts found in a Seattle recycling bin belong to Ingrid Lyne, a Renton woman who’s been missing since Friday night. Police have arrested a man they consider the suspect.
Ingrid Lyne went on a date Friday night with a man she’d recently met. That’s according to Facebook posts published by her friends. They say she didn’t bring her phone with her, and didn't return to pick up her kids the next day. That wasn’t like her, they say.
They wouldn’t see her alive again. Then on Saturday afternoon a man discovered her remains in his recycling bin in Seattle's Central District.
Here’s Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole: “The medical examiner must scientifically verify the victim’s identify, but we have no reason to believe that there’s any question of the victim’s identity.”
Telephone call records, and information from cell towers led police to the suspect, a 37 year old white male, who they arrested in Snohomish county.
Lyne was a mother of three daughters.
