Have you ever watched a slick ad for a corporation and found yourself taken in by the touching pictures and sincere voiceover?

The web site McSweeney's Internet Tendency has a parody of generic ad copy as a satire of corporate advertising.

Between jokes about corporate jargon and loose references to being earth-friendly, the ad takes a jab at smiley, stock footage people:

Lest you think we’re a faceless entity,

Look at all these attractive people.

Here’s some of them talking and laughing

And close-ups of hands passing canned goods to each other

In a setting that evokes community service.

A stock video provider named Dissolve used its own collection of generic video to turn this copy into a humorous reality by posting "This Is a Generic Brand Video."
