Emails and texts from state lawmakers are public records, judge rules

On Friday, a Thurston County Superior Court judge ruled that state lawmakers must comply with Washington's Public Records Act. The legal challenge against the legislature was brought by a coalition of news organizations, including the Northwest News Network, The Seattle Times, and The Associated Press.
