About Doug Nadvornick:
Doug Nadvornick is in the fourth phase of his 24–year media career. He spent the first six years in commercial radio covering news, sports and hosting for stations in Walla Walla and Spokane. Then he shifted to public radio: He served as Spokane Public Radio's news director for 16 years and created the program schedule after their switch to a news–and–information format. Doug's third phase was an 18–month stint with The Pacific Northwest Inlander, a weekly newspaper in Spokane, where he served as news editor and managing editor. In July 2008, Doug came back to public radio. He was hired as N3's Coeur d'Alene Correspondent to cover news in North Idaho and Eastern Washington.
Doug was born and raised in Spokane. He graduated from Washington State University. In 2005 he spent three months at NPR as a broadcast fellow, working as a production assistant for "Weekend Edition Sunday" and "Weekend All Things Considered." He and his wife live in Spokane. They have two grown children.
