Road use charge
Hybrid and electric vehicle drivers aren’t paying such a high gas tax anymore - but they’re still using the same roads and bridges as everyone else. So the state is experimenting with a per mile charge. Mary Frost at the WPC Coles Center for Transportation at the Washington Policy Center opposes that charge.
