Angie Rosette-Tavares

UX Designer

About

As a member of KUOW’s digital team, Angie is focused on making our digital products intuitive, accessible and enjoyable for our audience.

Prior to joining KUOW, Angie was a designer/developer at University of Washington Libraries, partnering on projects with organizations such as the Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI), Library of Congress, Institute of Museum and Library Sciences, Makah Cultural Research Center, Stroum Center for Jewish Studies and the Harry Bridges Center for Labor Studies.

As an undergraduate, Angie studied journalism and political science while volunteering as an arts and entertainment reporter for a little radio station located on the top floor of the UW Communications building (KCMU). She also has a Master of Science in Human Centered Design and Engineering. For several years, she was a member of a women’s arts collective that published a quarterly magazine and hosted community events around Seattle. She is still holding out hope of becoming a rock star but should probably actually practice first.
