Tami Kosch

Announcer, KUOW2

Tami grew up at the end of a road in Homer, Alaska, the banana belt of south central Alaska. In school, all of Tami's report cards said in the comment section: "Tami is a good student, but talks too much." A career in radio seemed certain.

After college at Central Washington University, she worked in theater as a stage manager. Within six months, she ran out of money and got into radio. In commercial radio she played music and said over and over and over, "South 405 is snarled up through Kirkland." She gave wreck checks for KZOK, KMPS, AM1090, KIXI, KLSY, KMTT, The Buzz, KUOW and others. She hosted a public affairs interview show for 1090 called Community Matters Weekend Edition.

After hours, Tami likes to hang out in coffee shops, go to the movies and ride around Auburn in the shadow of Mount Rainier with her mare, Compass.
