Chief Content Officer

The CCO will be a senior executive and the highest-ranking content creation officer at KUOW who holds overall responsibility for all content creation and leads the content distribution strategy for multiple platforms. Responsible for the design, integrity and success of content; also for overall editorial leadership, planning, presentation and supervision.

Scope:

  • Deployment, management and oversight of a $7M+ expense budget; 45% of KUOW’s overall operating budget.
  • Leadership and oversight of 56 full-time staff (nearly 60% of total staffing) + hourly and contract assignment employees.
  • Responsible for direction and oversight of more than 26,000 hours annually of broadcast content (3 channels) plus all digital platform and digitally delivered content.

KUOW is the Puget Sound Region’s NPR-affiliated public radio service for local, regional, national and international news, information and cultural programming.  We serve more than one million users monthly: on-air, online, live streaming and on demand. KUOW has the 6th largest news room among NPR-affiliated stations.

Major Gifts Officer

KUOW has an exciting opportunity for a Major Gifts Officer. The Major Gifts Officer will develop and maintain station relations with donors through research, cultivation, solicitation and retention activities. Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills required. Must be detailed oriented, computer proficient and have demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks. Bachelor's degree and 3 years' experience in a development setting with major gifts, database use and membership services required.
