'A Crazy Fun Day' With Seattle Seahawks, Sounders Lifts Mood In Darrington

In a statement the Seahawks company said the teams wanted to offer a brief distraction for families devastated by the landslide near Oso, Wash.

A Look At The Cascadia Soccer Rivalry

Despite the message of the sign, Portland Timbers fans may have to turn over the Cascadia Cup to Seattle if the Sounders beat or tie the Vancovuer Whitecaps tonight.

The Seattle Sounders play the Vancouver Whitecaps today. If they win or draw the game they will clinch the Cascadia Cup. The Cascadia Cup was made official in 2004 by the fans of the Portland Timbers, Seattle Sounders and Vancouver Whitecaps, but its history goes even further back.

Before the Cascadia teams were a part of Major League Soccer they played each other in the North American Soccer League and the United Soccer League. Even then, fans would drive the I-5 corridor to attend sell-out games with their banners and voices primed for cheering.

Kasey Keller Talks Sounders Past And Future

Those who have been following the US and Seattle soccer scene for a while are familiar with Olympia-born Kasey Keller. He has been to the World Cup four times as a goalkeeper for the United States Men's National Team and played extensively in international leagues.

Back in 2008, Keller returned to where he started to play for the Seattle Sounders. He is now one of the voices of the Sounders, announcing games with Ross Fletcher. Keller joins us to talk soccer and the Sounders' performance this year.

Seahawks Beat Arch Rival; Seattle Crowd Defeats Noise Record

Seahawks fans at Century Link Field broke the Guiness World Record for crowd noise twice, even while contending with a mid-game weather delay.

Sunday night at Century Link Field, Seattle Seahawks fans broke the Guinness World Record for loudest crowd noise at a stadium. Then, they broke the record again. The final reading was an ear-splitting 131.9 decibels.
