International students would face tougher scrutiny under a proposal being considered by the Trump Administration.

According to the Washington Post, foreign college students would have to reapply for their visas each year in order to stay in the U.S. Currently, international students can live in the U.S. as long as they're enrolled in college on full-time basis.

Something unusual happened on Jobe Korb-Nice's most recent international trip to recruit students for Seattle Pacific University. Students expressed fear about coming to America.

And Korb-Nice wasn't in one of seven Muslim countries covered by President Donald Trump's travel ban. He was in Norway.

A year ago today, student Chris Howard was in Seattle Pacific University’s engineering building when his friend Thomas Fowler ran in.

Fowler was injured, but Howard didn’t initially realize what had happened: A gunman had opened fire on campus.

Howard told KUOW's Jeannie Yandel what happened next and how he has come to terms with the shooting in his senior year at SPU.

It’s been a week since a gunman open fire on the Seattle Pacific University campus killing one student and injuring two others.

The mood was different Friday as students and loved ones celebrated the university’s annual Ivy Cutting. The ceremony, a tradition since 1922, represents the cutting of students' ties to the university and the independence following graduation.
