Join Marcie Sillman for the second Front Row Center event of our 2017-2018 Season at "The Crucible."

"The Crucible" is Arthur Miller’s powerful and classic play about the Salem witch trials. Religion, conspiracy, witchcraft, and lust fuel this passionate play about shame and morality as paranoia becomes strong enough to poison a whole town. This stirring story of the Puritan purge of witchcraft in old Salem is both a gripping historical play and a timely parable of our contemporary society.

Seattle’s reputation as a vibrant, progressive, culturally relevant city is the product of decades of vision and growth. Many Seattleites participated in building that progress, but no one has done more to develop the arts culture of this city than Virginia Wright. Over the last 60 years of her adult life, Wright has helped transform what was once a cultural outlier into a world-class art destination.

I’ll admit it: I am a fan girl.

Last week, I got to sit down with one of my choreographic heroes, William Forsythe.

I came away from that conversation with renewed admiration for both Forsythe’s dances, and his respect and love for dancers – and theirs for him.
