Day Sponsorship

Support KUOW and hear your own personal message on the air! Celebrate a birthday, surprise a friend, honor an anniversary or remember a loved one.

A single gift of $250-499 entitles you to sponsor one day of programming. A single gift of $500-999 entitles you to sponsor two days. When we receive your contribution, we will mail your receipt and a form on which to reserve your day and compose your message. You may use your day sponsor benefit up to one year after the date of your contribution.

Your message will be read on the air twice during the day of your choice, between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. Your message should be ten seconds in length, including the standard introduction of, "Today's KUOW day sponsor is ... "

Day sponsorships are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to reserve your date early.

Day Sponsorship Guidelines

Your message should celebrate friends or family or commemorate a personal event, anniversary or birthday.
KUOW will not accept any political, religious or advocacy messages which promote a cause or editorial viewpoint.
KUOW reserves the right to evaluate and edit all messages against our general on-air guidelines.

Sample Day Sponsor Messages
"Today's KUOW Day Sponsor is Sonja Cook, wishing Joe Baxter a happy 40^th birthday."

"Today's KUOW day sponsors are Mary and Bill Smith, celebrating their 10^th wedding anniversary."

Business Membership Guidelines

A business day-sponsorship message can be for a business, non-profit organization or community event.
Concisely describe the general services provided, an event date or general location (not including a phone number, website or specific street address).
Language must be value-neutral and non-promotional.
KUOW will not accept any political, religious or advocacy messages which promote a cause or editorial viewpoint.
KUOW reserves the right to evaluate and edit all messages against our general on-air guidelines.

Sample Business Membership Messages
"Today's KUOW Business Member is Bob's Hardware, serving the Queen Anne neighborhood for 20 years. "

"Today's KUOW Business Member is ABC Theatre Group, in its current production of Hamlet. "
