Zombies are Everywhere

Zombies have been rotting and staggering around our pop culture and legends for decades. Walking corpses without a human soul, lusting for flesh. They are unrelenting. Survivors kill them in bloody, dramatic ways — and still the hordes keep coming. Why do we like zombies so much? Beyond the horror movies they star in, and the creative make–up they have inspired, what is it about these creatures keeps them "alive" in the stories we tell? Love the zombie? Robert Horton and Mark Rahner are co–hosting the "Red, White and Dead Zombie Party" this Friday, July 3 as part of the Fremont Outdoor Movies. As part of the event, there will be a Guinness World Record attempt at the largest Zombie walk of all time. Guinness Registration is from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at 3501 Phinney Ave North. The walk starts at 8:00 p.m. The movie "Shaun of the Dead" starts at 9:45 p.m. Other activities include a Zombie Fashion Show, Thriller Dance Off and a Zombie Workshop.

Cleo Zombie and Eric the Zombie Bum are with the Seattle Zombie Walk Association. They are also judging the Zombie Fashion Show in Fremont tomorrow.
