Poet Susan Landgraf reads poems inspired by our Pacific Northwest coast and the creatures of the ocean. A writer and photographer, Susan Landgraf has published more than 300 poems in more than 150 journals. Today we'll hear three of her children's poems, and a poem accompanied by musician Paul Rucker. Landgraf teaches at Highline Community College.

David Horsey is the two time Pulitzer Prize–winning editorial cartoonist for the Seattle Post Intelligencer. His parents were active in Washington state politics and music was an important part of the cartoonist's upbringing. Dave Beck talks to David Horsey about how growing up in Seattle shaped his work as a journalist and cartoonist.
David Horsey's new book is Draw Quick, Shoot Straight.

At 2:50 p.m. – Lynette Johnson
Think of the photographs you display in your home. They are likely of happy moments, the times you want to always remember. Local photographer Lynette Johnson captures experiences that some people may rather forget. She photographs dying and seriously ill children through her foundation, Soulumination. It's a volunteer service that began with a wedding.
